I was also wondering, if I sold it, what my asking price should be? Valve oil is valve oil (all are generally the same). However there are the exceptions. Some trumpets (used, second-hand or old from use) valve casings are not, or no longer tight fitting because of a gap that had developed between the valve pistons and the valve casing which causes the Al Cass oil to go dry pre-maturely (to soon) between each use while playing the trumpet. In that situation a thicker oil may be more suitable than Al Cass Fast to compensate for the gap. Caution: to thick of a valve oil can slow down the action of valve pistons.
