Not really all that easy. They're not using iwd files anymore (in which the weapon sounds were never stored anyway), and they're using differently compressed and/or encrypted.ff's (in which the weapon sounds are stored). The.sabs simply include FLAC's when you open one with a hex-editor, the.sabl ones I have no idea either. We only have them for WaW and BO because they released mod tools for the games, and with them the sounds from the.ff's. So without modtools, or somebody cracking the encryption of their new fastfiles, I guess not a chance:( • • • • •. CoD4, WaW, MW2, BO and MW3 used.iwd files to store ambient sounds, music and voice chatter in it (also all the textures).
