Saskatchewan's driver's licence includes images that represent the beauty of Saskatchewan's diverse landscape. It it has been designed with many security features and meets international standards important for travel and other identification requirements. Multiple card versions in use SGI recently changed card production vendors and began issuing the newest version of Saskatchewan’s driver’s licence and photo identification cards on April 1, 2016. As a result, there are currently 2 different card versions in circulation that have several minor differences in appearance. Both are completely valid.
